Systems Consultant

We are looking for an energetic, smart, and dedicated Systems Consultant. This is a full-time position based in Brooklyn and Manhattan, primarily working onsite at various client locations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Daily support of client workstations and peripherals remotely and onsite as needed, including troubleshooting and analysis of issues by phone and email
Setup and configuration of Windows-based desktops
Monitoring of service calls to ensure timely response to our clients
Rotating on-call responsibilities for after-hours and weekend work when needed

Compensation based on experience.

Required Skills:

1+ years work experience providing help desk support
Working knowledge of Windows (2000, 2003, and XP), MS Office, general networking, and Antivirus software
Basic understanding of Windows Servers (2000, 2003) and related services
Blackberry and Treo setup and configurations
Familiarity with backup/restore technologies and procedures
Ability to multitask, solve problems, and a willingness to learn while working in a fast-paced environment

Additional Helpful Skills:

Familiarity with Red Hat Linux and/or Apache/PHP/MySQL

Familiarity with OS X Desktops/Server 10.3+

Familiarity with Cisco, Firebox, SonicWall and other routing and firewall product experience

Experience supporting numerous people in a range of office environments
