National Community Outreach Organization
The Challenge
Marathon received a call from a system administrator at a California branch office of a national community outreach organization. The branch had suffered a catastrophic data corruption on it's Microsoft Exchange server, resulting in a complete loss of stored e-mail and contacts, and no incoming or outgoing mail.
The system administrator had contacted four local consultants, and each had reported that the problem was unfixable - the data corruption was too advanced and no recovery was possible. Broadening his search, the administrator found Marathon on the Web, and relayed his story.
The Solution
Working remotely, two Marathon techs had the Exchange server operating within four hours.
Recovering the lost data was a bit more complex, and was complicated by the historic blackout affecting the Eastern Seaboard, which occurred while work on the server was in progress. Four days after we got the call, however, ninety percent of the lost data had been recovered, and full service was restored to the office.
“Marathon has been most responsive and timely as they continue to provide support to our growing company. Legend was lucky to find Marathon. Thank you guys!”
